Hubertus History

The Hubertus in a short time-lapse

The Gasser family was initially active in the trading business and was known in the region as a repairer of commercial vehicles of the Iveco brand. Many decades ago, the grandfather Franz Gasser already understood that it is useful to place the business on several pillars. Part of this is also the Hubertus of today. A lot has happened over the years.
The history of the Hubertus is summarised here in a short time-lapse.

1968

Franz Gasser acquires the house Höhenrain in Geiselsberg.

The guesthouse was first managed by Wolfgang Schnarf. Then for 3 years by Christoph Peer, who later opened his own hotel in Mitterolang. Afterwards, the guesthouse was leased to Othmar Feichter for 10 years and finally to Therese Jud for another 5 years.

1984

Son Christian Gasser takes over the house at the age of 21.
In the first winter season it was a 2-star guesthouse.

1985

The first alteration took place. This included the
installation of a dormer window.

1989

1992

In 1992, Daniela - the first child - was born.
In this year, the private flat was built, too.
In addition, Helga and Christian Gasser founded two travel agencies for bus tourism in order to improve the workload of the business.

1994

In 1994, the first investment in sustainability was undertaken. Although the cheaper solution at the time was oil heating, a sustainable woodchip heating system was installed. In the same year, the indoor swimming pool was built.

1995

Son Markus was born, and the hotel bar area was built.

1996

Additional hotel rooms were built.

1998

Construction of the outdoor whirlpool

1999

Building of the outdoor music pool

2000

Construction of the combined heat and power station, the tank
and the wood chip store, on top of which a large parking area
for the hotel guests was built.

2002

In 2002, a huge extension took place. A room wing, garages
and a large sunbathing lawn were added.

2003

Completion of the extension work with fitness room, beauty department, Alpenreych park, sunbathing lawn and the panoramic pasture sauna.

2004

Renovation of the "Stube", the lounge, the fireplace room,
the farmers room and the buffet

2005

Creation of new dining rooms

2006

Construction of a relaxation room and an outdoor swimming pool

2007

New panorama rooms

2011

2015-2016

In 2015 and 2016, there was another renovation and some enlargements. Various rooms, the reception, the entrance, the lounge, the log cabin sauna, the relaxation pavilion, and the fitness room were reconstructed/enlarged. The house façade was redesigned on the outside and the construction work of the Skypool was completed.
